Rupee Symbol Installation in Ubuntu/Linux

1.Download Rupee_Foradian.ttf font from ---

http://blog.foradian.com/rupee-font-version-20

2. Open terminal (Application – Accessories - Terminal) and type the command

sudo cp /home/changathi/Desktop/Rupee_Foradian.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont/
Press Enter

In the place of home/changathi/Desktop give the path of Rupee_Foradian.ttf
font you have downloaded.
In the above command note a space after sudo,cp & ttf

3. If asked give the user password of your system.

4. Then in terminal type the command,

fc-cache Press Enter

Close the Terminal

Open Word Processor

Select font - Rupee Foradian

Press the Key ~ ` (That is Left side of key 1 or Below of Escape key or Above of Tab key)


Rupee Symbol will appear.

Rupee Symbol Installation in WINDOWS

1. Download Rupee_Foradian.ttf font from ---

http://blog.foradian.com/rupee-font-version-20

2.Copy the Rupee font and paste it into the folder C – windows – fonts
3.Open Microsoft Word
4.Select font - Rupee Foradian
5.Press the Key ~ ` (That is Left side of key 1 or Below of Escape key or Above of
Tab key)
Rupee Symbol will appear.
